DPS unveils Fallen Officers Memorial, display

On Thursday, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) dedicated the new DPS Fallen Officers Memorial and display during the department’s annual Peace Officers Memorial Service in Austin. Both the new memorial and display, which are open to the public, will serve as a permanent place to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of their fellow Texans.

5/10/2024 - HOCKLEY COUNTY Deputies took a report in reference to a Historical marker being vandalized in the Northern part of the county. A report for Criminal Mischief between $50 and $500 was made.

5/15/2024 - DISPATCHED 4:01 P.M. - CLEARED 4:57 P.M. LEVELLAND The fire department received a call stating Atmos was requesting standby at a gas leak in the 800 block of Avenue D due to striking a line near a residence. While fire personnel stood by, Atmos was able to close the leak and make repairs.
