Morri Hartgraves chosen for the 2025 Lubbock Music Now

Long time Levelland resident and musician Morri Hartgraves has been chosen for the 2025 Lubbock Music Now album. Artists must live within 100 miles of the Lubbock city limits. Morri Hartgraves was the only artist chosen to represent Hockley County.

Wayland, SPC create pathway for worship studies degree

Wayland Baptist University and South Plains College have signed a memorandum of understanding creating a direct pathway for SPC students with an Associate of Applied Arts in Commercial Music to complete a Bachelor of Christian Ministry in Worship Studies at Wayland.

Hockley County Senior Citizens fundraiser set for Nov. 15

The Hockley County Senior Citizen’s 2025 Thanksgiving fundraiser dinner, quilt and gift basket raffle is set for Nov. 15.Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and dinner is from noon to 1 p.m. Cost is $12 per place.To go plates will be available and picked up at the back door.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service announced a new exaTs 4-H Youth Development headquarters at Texas A& M-RELLIS, a 3,200-acre applied research campus in Bryan.
