Hockley County Tax sales tax allocation

Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.3 billion in local sales tax allocations for June, 7.4% more than in June 2025.These allocations are based on sales made in April by businesses that report tax monthly.

Sundown City Council to meet June 16

To the City of Levelland, I have lived in Hockley County for 22 years. We love our town. We shop, eat, work and go to church in Levelland. I am writing to express my concerns regarding the hosting of a drag queen show on June 26th and similar performances welcoming children and families.
