Nine members of the Sundown Roughette’s softball team earned nominations and postseason honors from the state's top high school softball organizations following a 305 season that ended with a class 2A division two state runner-up finish.

The Levelland High School Lobo baseball team hosted their annual summer youth baseball camp for incoming first through ninth graders this past Thursday through Saturday.The camp focused on the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing and overall baseball development.

SPC Rodeo competes in College National Finals Rodeo

Six of the South Plains College Rodeo team members headed to Casper, Wyoming to compete in the historic College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) at the Ford Wyoming Center from June 14 through June 20 where two of the six competitors qualified for the final round of competition.

The Ropes Lady Eagles held their summer softball camp this past Tuesday and Wednesday.The camp was open to students from all surrounding districts for incoming firstthrough- fifth graders from 10 a.m. to noon, while sixthto- ninth graders attended from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Smyer ISD to host youth flag football, cheer camp

The Smyer Bobcats will be hosting a youth flag football and cheer camp this summer.The registration form is now open until June 28. Registration is $60 for each sport. Participants must be enrolled in Smyer ISD to participate. Participant grade requirements are Pre-K through grade 6.
