Sundown ends season in Big Spring

The Sundown Roughettes took on the Christoval Lady Cougars this past Friday in Big Spring where they lost 48-44 in a close one. The first quarter of the game started off with Sundown trailing 12-6 due to Christoval’s ability to drive into the paint at will.

The Sundown Roughettes took on the Miles Bulldogs this past Friday in Big Spring for the teams area round of playoffs where the team won 64-43. The first quarter of the game started off with Sundown outscoring Miles 12-8 taking a four point lead going into the second quarter of play.

Maidens fall to Klondike

The Morton Maidens took on the Klondike Lady Cougars this last Tuesday for their bidistrict round of playoffs where the team lost 46-31. The first quarter of the game started off with Morton trailing Klondike early 21-5 due to the Maidens not being able to stop Klondike from driving in the paint.

Bobcats end season on loss to Olton

The Smyer Bobcats hosted the Olton Mustangs for the team’s final game of the season in basketball play where the team lost 67-26. The first quarter of the game started off rough for the Bobcats as they were outscored 24-6, as they were not able to stop Olton from getting inside the paint.

CLARENDON — Jermahri Hill scored a game-high 21 points as the top-ranked South Plains College men’s basketball team topped Clarendon 79-71 on the road Monday at Bulldog Gymnasium.

Whiteface moves on to regional quarterfinals

The Whiteface Lady Lopes went 2-0 in the UIL High School Girls basketball playoffs last week. Whiteface took on the Wellman-Union Lady Cats this past Monday at Trinity Christian in Lubbock where they won 68-14 in the bi-district round of playoffs.
