Lady Panthers win home tournament

The Whitharral Lady Panthers went 3-0 last weekend to win the girls’ bracket in their home Whitharral Invitational High School Basketball Tournament. Lady Panther Paige Smith was named offensive most valuable player as well.

Whitharral finishes second in home tournament

The Whitharral Panthers went 2-1 on their way to a secondplace finish in the Whitharral Invitational High School Basketball Tournament last weekend. Nate Sansom was named defensive most valuable player as well.

Levelland traveled to Graham for tournament

The Levelland Lobos traveled to Graham this past weekend where they went 3-2 throughout the tournament. The first game of the tournament the team had to go up against the Iowa Park Hawks where the team won 54-48.

Lobos fall to Loboes 50-41, at home

The Levelland Lobos hosted the Monahan Loboes Dec.5 for a UIL High School Basketball game where the team fell 50-41. The first quarter of the game started off bad for the Lobos, as they couldnt stop the Monahans offense from attacking the basket.

Whitharral Boys travel to Dora, N.M. for Tournament

The Whitharral Panthers high school boys’ basketball team went 1-2 at the J.P. Stone Invitational Basketball Tournament in Dora, N.M. last weekend. Whitharral dropped the opening game to the eventual tournament champion Logan Longhorns, then bounced back with wins over Amherst and Cloudcroft.

Ropes tumble against Hale Center

The Ropes Lady Eagles fell 46-43 to the visiting Lady Owls from Hale Center in UIL High School Girls’ Basketball action last Friday. The Lady Eagles led 15-12 at the end of the first quarter, but fell behind 26-23 at halftime. Ropes trailed 34-32 at the end of the third period.

Bobcats lose to Bulldogs

The Smyer Bobcats took a 58-35 road loss from the Tahoka Bulldogs last Tuesday in UIL High School Boys’ Basketball action. Smyer trailed 14-12 at the end of the first period, then Tahoka took off in the second, leading 3220 at halftime and 47-26 at the end of three. Rylan Smith had 16 points.
