Texas sheriffs sign ICE agreements

Texas sheriffs are now required to work with US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by serving federal immigration warrants at local jails, as per Senate Bill 8 on that was passed on May 24, and that includes Hockley County.

Cotton futures remain uncertain

Cotton futures recouped some early-week losses after hitting a contract low last Tuesday. The market posted three consecutive sessions of modest gains, though buying interest remained limited. March futures settled just eight points lower on Friday at 63.
