Whiteface handle Lady Eagles, in Ropes

The Whiteface Lady Lopes went against the Ropes Lady Eagles this past Monday where they won 39-23 as the away team. Whiteface came into the game ready as they dominated the game from the start jumping to an early lead in the game with a score of 12-4 at the end of the first quarter.

Bobcats defeat Longhorns

The Smyer Bobcats took a big third quarter to the win column last Monday with a 58-32 win over the host Loop Longhorns in UIL High School Basketball action. Loop kept it tight early. The Bobcats led 15-14 at the end of the first quarter and trailed 22-21 at halftime.

Whitharral beats Friona

The Whitharral Lady Panthers took a 70-52 win over the host Friona Squaws in UIL High School Girls’ Basketball action last Friday. Whitharral was up 22-14 at the end of the first period and comfortable with a 42-26 lead at halftime. They led 63-37 at the end of three periods.

Lady Eagles top Fillies

The Ropes Lady Eagles got a 48-37 road win over the Bovina Fillies last Friday in UIL High School Girls’ Basketball action. Ropes trailed 18-15 at the end of the first period, but shut the Fillies down in the second to lead 30-23 at halftime.

Lady Cats take win 75-31, at Loop

The Smyer Lady Cats jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 75-31 UIL high school girls’ basketball road win over the Loop Lady Longhorns last Monday. Smyer led 20-6 at the end of the first period and 41-15 at halftime. The Lady Cats were leading 53-23 at the end of three quarters.

Antelopes season comes to end, in Slaton

The Whiteface Antelopes went against the Borden County Coyotes in the Area Round of the High School Football 6-man 1A D1 where they lost 65-50, at Slaton. Whiteface started off the game on offense where the team went three and out on the first drive.

The Levelland Loboettes took on the Denver City Fillies at home for their non-district UIL 4A Region 1 District 5 High School Basketball Game matchup where the girls won 70-49. At first the game would be a tight one as both teams wouldn’t outshine the other.
