Whitharral overwhelm Eagles

The Whitharral Panthers overwhelmed the visiting O’Donnell Eagles 69-23 in UIL High School Boys’ Basketball action November 28th. The Panthers led 18-7 in the first quarter and 32-11 at halftime. Whitharral was up 53-15 at the end of the third period. Nate Sansom led all scorers with 18 points.

Eagles down Steers, at Farwell

The Ropes Eagles downed the state-ranked Farwell Steers 79-48 last Tuesday in UIL high school boys’ basketball action at Farwell. Ropes led 20-14 at the end of the first quarter and 41-27 at halftime. They led 55-42 at the end of three quarters. Branson Simental led all scorers with 21 points.

Whitharral Football Season wrap-up

Several Whitharral Panthers have earned UIL Region I, Class 1A-2, District 2 football honors. The Panthers overcame a number of obstacles on their way to a 9-2 season with UIL Class 1A- 2 football district and bi-district championships.

Levelland falls to Andrews last second

The Levelland Lobos traveled to Andrews this past Tuesday to take on the Mustangs where they fell 62-61 in a nail bitter. The Lobos led most of the game up until they let up off the gas as the Mustangs were able to take control of the game with seconds left in it.

Indians fall to Patriots, in Lubbock

The Morton Indians went up against the All-Saint Patriots this past Monday where the team fell 67-21 as the away team. The first quarter got out of hand for the Indians as they were having trouble stopping the Patriot offense from driving in and getting what they wanted.

Maidens stumble against All-Saints

The Morton Maidens played against the All-Saints Lady Patriots as the away team where they lost 55-42. All-Saints came into the game ready as they started off hot against the Maidens. They were able to outscore the Maidens 20-to-8 in the first quarter.

Eagles take down Antelopes 72-27, in Ropes

The Ropes Eagles took on the Whiteface Antelopes at home this past Monday for the Antelopes first game of the season. The Eagles took the win in a convincing way, winning the game 72-27 at home. The first quarter was very close as neither team was able to outshine the other.
