Smyer Bobcats split series against Tahoka

The Smyer Bobcats took on the Tahoka Bulldogs this past Monday and Tuesday where they split the series winning Monday and dropping a game Tuesday.Smyer 11, Tahoka 2For the Bobcats, they were on the board first after Aiden Martinez was struck by a pitch and Jose Paradez being walked.

Roughettes dominate Lockney Lady Horns, 18-0

The Sundown Roughettes took on the Lockney Lady Horns this past Tuesday in UIL Softball District play where the Roughettes won 18-0 through three innings.Ariel Hernandez for the Roughettes hit a grand slam to right field to force the run rule.

REGIONAL CHAMP - Cash Crutcher from Whiteface is a State Qualifier as he set new record in three different categories for his 114lb weigh class with a 420lb squat, 315lb bench and new total with 1055 lbs to become the regional champion. Ropes takes down Sundown in close game

The Ropes Eagles hosted the Sundown Roughnecks this past Thursday for UIL Baseball Action in district play where the Eagles won 4-3.

SPC wins last three games in Weatherford

The South Plains College Basketball team will play for their fourth national title after winning the NJCAA Region 5 Title and earning an automatic bid to the national tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Hayden Sowers named WJCAC Coach of the Year

Second-year head coach Hayden Sowers has been tabbed the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year! Sowers has led the Texans to a 28-2 record to date, including a 14-2 mark in the WJCAC, and the Western Junior College Athletic Conference title.
