The Whitharral Panthers football team wrapped up their season earlier this month, finishing with a record of 9-1 overall and 3-0 in district.

Whiteface falls to Rankin, 82-38, playoff run ends

This past Friday in Lamesa, the Whiteface Antelopes football team played against the Rankin Red Devils in the Regional Round of the 1A-1 playoffs, falling to them 82-38.Rankin got out to a 22-6 lead early on, which was something the Antelopes could never recover from.

Recapping Smyer’s football season

The Smyer Bobcats football team wrapped up their season earlier this month, finishing 1-9 overall and 0-5 in district play.While the Bobcats improved from a winless 2024, they could’ve done even better, which Head Coach Scott Funke echoed while giving his overall thoughts on the season.

Recapping Morton’s football season

The Morton Indians football team wrapped up their season earlier this month, finishing 2-8-1 overall and 2-3 in district play.The Indians made the 2A-2 playoffs but fell in the first round, 78-14, to an elite Stratford Elks team.

The Levelland Lobos football team finished their season earlier this month with a final record of 6-5 overall and 2-2 in district play.The Lobos made the 4A-2 playoffs but were knocked out after losing to the Seminole Indians 77-38 in the first round.

Coach Colley earns first win with Bobcats

This past Monday at home, the Smyer Bobcats basketball team earned their first win of the season, beating Ralls 37-9.The win moves Smyer to 1-0 this season, and it also marked the first of Smyer Boy’s Basketball Head Coach Jared Colley’s career.

UIL bars foreign exchange students from varsity sports

A Texas UIL rule change will bar foreign exchange students from participating in varsity athletics beginning the 2006-2027 school year.The rule was approved by the UIL legislative council and still needs the approval of state education commissioner Mike Morath.

Football viewing line-up for Thanksgiving

While Thanksgiving turkeys, pecan pies and family gatherings are a common tradition, football be at the top of the list for hardcore sports fan on the festive holiday, which is of course preceded by the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
