Hernandez earns trip to state meet at 4A Region 1 XC Championship

This past Tuesday morning, junior Saul Hernandez and freshman Valeria Villareal competed for Levelland cross country in the UIL 4A Region 1 Cross Country Championships at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.

10 Hockley County runners qualify for state at XC

Many Hockley County athletes competed in the 2A and 1A Region 1 Cross Country Championships this past Monday and Tuesday morning at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.The most significant performances came from class 2A as 10 Hockley County runners punched their ticket to the state meet next week.

Morton earns first win against Ralls, 33-6

The Morton Indians football team defeated the Ralls Jackrabbits, 33-6, earning their first win of the season at home this past Friday night.Morton now sits at 1-5-1 overall and 1-1 in district play following the dominant victory.

Sundown beats Plains, 35-7, starts 2-0 in district

The Sundown Roughnecks football team steamrolled the Plains Cowboys, 35-7, this past Friday night at home, improving to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in district play this season.

Loboettes lose to Memorial, 3-0

This past Tuesday, the Levelland Loboettes varsity volleyball team had their Senior Night as they hosted Frenship Memorial for a district match, losing 3-0.Memorial took the three sets 25-19, 25-20 and 27-25, dropping the Loboettes record to 10-22 overall and 3-7 in district play this season.

Recapping the Pack’s fall season

The Levelland Tennis Pack concluded their varsity fall season earlier this month, finishing with an 8-9 overall record.While that wasn’t good enough to reach the playoffs, the Pack can still be proud of their season that was full of record-breaking performances and numerous wins.
