Ropes Eagles fall to Cowboys

The Ropes Eagles gave the visiting Plains Cowboys all they wanted, but couldn’t hang on to the end, falling to the Cowboys 58-53 in UIL District 5-2A high school boys’ basketball action on January 5. Both teams played a fast paced, physical game with opportunistic defense.

Lady Eagles come back over Cowgirls

The Ropes Lady Eagles came from behind for a hard fought 4336 win over the visiting Plains Cowgirls January 5 in UIL District 5-1A high school girls’ basketball action. The Lady Eagles found themselves down 13-4 at the end of the first quarter.

Loboettes cruise past Snyder 59-31, on the road

The #3 Levelland Loboettes faced off against the Snyder Lady Tigers this past Tuesday where the team won 59-31, on the road. The first quarter of play for Levelland was great as they went on a big run to give them the early lead in the game 20-4 at the end of the first.

Sundown stumbles in the second half to Eagles, on the road

The Sundown Roughnecks went on the road to take on the Seagraves Eagles in district play where they lost in an overtime nail-bitter 52-51. The first quarter of the game the Roughnecks dominated the game as they outscored the Eagles 18-to-8 to take the early lead in the game.
