The Levelland Loboettes made easy work out of the Sweetwater Lady Mustangs, Tuesday winning the game in four sets. The team won with scores of 25-16, 25-23, 21-25 and 26-24 to improve their record to 18-17.

Eagles earn district win, soar past Bobcats

The Ropes Eagles had little trouble dispatching the visiting Smyer Bobcats 38-6 in the UIL District 2A-2 High School Football opening game last Friday. Ropes racked up 289 yards on the ground against minus three for Smyer.

The Levelland Lobos kicked off district play in Perryton against the Rangers where they picked up their first loss of district play, 41-18.

The Sundown Roughnecks hosted the Sundown Oil Patch Invitational where they invited teams from around the area to compete against this past Saturday. The boys team placed sixth out of 13 teams and their best runner of the day was Jaydith Shelton who finished in 31st place with a time of 20:38.

They Smyer Bobcats hosted the Smyer Bobcat Invitational and hosted teams from around the area such as Anton, Christ the King, Crosbyton, Farwell, Lazbuddie, Lubbock Christain, Meadow, O’Donnell, Post, Seagraves, Tahoka and Whitharral.

Loboettes dominate Big Spring

The Levelland Loboettes took their talents to Big Spring Tuesday where they dominated the Lady Steets, 3-1. The team put the game away in four sets with an accumulative score of 42-16 on the evening. The scores for the sets were 2517, 25-13, 22-25 and 25-20.

Whiteface mercies Kress 56-7, as visitor

It took some time for the Whiteface Antelopes to get rolling last Friday, but by the third quarter, they had downed the host Kress Kangaroos 56-7 in a mercy rule shortened UIL Class 1A 6-man football game.

The Levelland Cross Country team ran this past Saturday at the Sundown Oil Patch Invitational where the boys team took second place out of 13 teams and the girls team took first place out of 11.
