Big changes at Whiteface

Big changes are happening in the coaching staff at Whiteface High School. Head Football Coach Clint Linman is the new Athletic Director for the Antelopes, replacing the retiring athletic director and girls’ basketball coach Gary Simmons. Linman will retain football and powerlifting duties.

Gary Simmons is leaving some big shoes to fill in Whiteface, but the retiring Lady Lope Head Girls’ Basketball Coach and Athletic Director prefers to talk about the accomplishments of the athletes and the teams he has coached rather than himself.

Morton ISD has brought in Keith Mauldin to serve as the new athletic director for the future of the program. Mauldin is new to high school sports, but that doesn’t mean he does not have the desire and drive to take on new challenges.

Lane Jackson steps down after 27 seasons

Ropes Athletic Director Lane Jackson has stepped down as the Ropes Head football coach after 27 years. Coach Jackson has now handed the reigns to Beau Riker as he will serve as the new head football coach.
