The Whitharral Panthers took on the Klondike Cougars this past Tuesday at Frenship High School for their regional quarterfinal in UIL Boys Basketball matchup where the Panthers won 63-53.
DEFENSE - Morton Indian Brayden Villarreal stayed competitive on the defensive side of the ball during the team’s last playoff game against the Jayton Jaybirds this past Tuesday at Frenship High School. BORGER — The secondranked South Plains College men’s basketball team ended a seven-year drought Thursday night, as the Texans pummeled Frank Phillips 100-67 to capture the Western Junior College Athletic Conference title, their first since the 2017 season.

Lady Texans fall in Borger

BORGER — The South Plains College women’s basketball team fell to Frank Phillips 60-52 on the road Thursday night at the Borger Community Activity Center. South Plains moves to 13-15 on the season and 6-6 in league play, and will be back home on Monday night when they host No. 9 Odessa at 5:45 p.m.

The Morton Indians took on the Lorenzo Hornets this past Friday for their UIL Boys Basketball area matchup in basketball playoffs where they won 54-48. The first quarter of the game started off with the Indians taking a two point lead with the score sitting at 14-12 at the end of the first.
